David Gensler
David is the Founding Principal and President of Concierge Retirement Services (formerly known as Madison Pension Services). He established the company in 1978 and has over 40 years of consulting experience in qualified retirement plans. As David says – “I established the company in 1978 based on one core principle – CARING. That single core value continues to this day and is present in every single team member of Concierge Retirement Services.”
David has served as the co-chair of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) Government Affairs Committee. This committee worked with both the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Labor in shaping significant legislation that touches all aspects of qualified retirement plans. He has spoken numerous times before the New York State Society of CPA’s on various topics related to qualified retirement plans. David is highly regarded as a leading expert in the profession and is a frequent lecturer. He’s been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, NY Times, and Crain’s Business. He’s also written articles published in various professional publications.

David is responsible for marketing and sales, all financial aspects of the firm (budgeting, forecasting, etc.), management, vision, and introducing new products and services to best serve our clients.
His favorite part of his job is consulting with clients and helping them solve retirement planning issues.
David is happily married to Karen Gensler and has 3 children – 2 sons and a daughter, and he also has 2 granddaughters. He and Karen also share their lives with their dog Molly.
He loves reading non-fiction (political, true crime, and mystery) and is a life-long fan of the New York Giants. He loves to watch golf and says “It was long ago when I realized that golf is a much greater sport to watch than to attempt to play!”
David says his passions are excellence, providing innovative solutions for our clients and assisting the team of Concierge professional advisors. He beams with pride when talking about “the folks who work here” and says “we just seem to be getting better and better!”
David is a gentle man who truly walks his talk, and proves that CARING is the mantra of Concierge Retirement Services.
